Let’s Review: Cameron Hart Stealing His Heart

Have you ever read the description of a book and been kind of on the fence about whether you even want to read it, but then you do and it’s awesome? That totally happened to me with Stealing His Heart. When I first read the description I didn’t know if I was going to like it since I don’t really dig books about criminal activity. The main character is described as a thief, and though she does try (not very well) to break into the hero’s castle, she isn’t really a criminal. There is a lot of back story that explains why she does what she does and that makes me like her all the more.

Clayton, is a big, growly, mountain man recluse who lives in a freaking castle. Aft er being betrayed by the woman he loved, he moved up the mountain, built a fortress, and hunkered down behind the huge walls to lick his wounds. He has no intention of rejoining the rest of the world, but when a part of that world starts snooping around the walls, he is intrigued, and suddenly starts to feel something in a place that he thought was long dead.

“My non-existent heart lodges itself in my throat and my gut twists with an unfamiliar feeling… What the fuck is a curvy little angel doing sneaking around my property?”

Aft er obsessively watching his curvy little burglar sneak around, he decides to let her in to see what happens. One moment he’s stalking her through the security cameras and the next he is scooping her up when she gets injured. She meant to steal from him, but he is stealing her instead.

As much as her family would like her to be, Naomi is not a thief. When her family gave her no other choice than to try and break into the billionaire’s fortress up on the mountain, she grabbed her tattered backpack and started to hike. The problem was, she had no skills as a thief, therefore there was no way she would ever be able to make it inside the castle and stuff her pockets full of the gold and jewels her idiot uncle was convinced must be lying around. Despite her less than stellar breaking and entering skills she catches a break when the gate is left open and sneaks her way into the courtyard. Which is when her plan goes to hell and she turns her ankle on a loose stone, falling right on her ass in plain sight. When a huge, burly, giant comes out and scoops her up, she is sure she’s done for.

“Just when I don’t think things can get any worse, a hulking beast of a man appears out of nowhere.”

Instead, he takes her into the house, cleans her up, and sweeps her right off of her feet. Naomi is falling in love, but what will happen when Clayton learns the truth about her motives?

Beauty and the Beast! This story definitely has fairy tale undertones and bears a striking resemblance to Beauty and the Beast…you know, if Beauty was a curvaceous thief and the Beast was a billionaire mountain man. I totally enjoyed finding all of the little similarities and this book was even better because the beast doesn’t turn into some wimpy prince at the end. This story is an age gap, insta-love, curvy girl novella and I love, love, love it. It’s available on Amazon and Kindle Unlimited so check it out!

Well done, Cameron Hart! Well done!
